What’s the difference of light duty gangway ladder and heavy duty gangway ladder?

Introduction .

1.Product Description

Aluminum gangways are used for personnel to board and disembark from ships after docking at the dock. There are also flat, gangway, and small lightweight aluminum gangways.

2.Characteristic

Featuring lightweight, safety, and high strength.

3.Gangway ladder requirements

All aluminum parts shall undergo anodizing treatment. The gangway ladder shall be used at a maximum angle of 30 degrees, and the completed ladder shall not be skewed, twisted, or deformed. Strength test: The two ends of the ladder shall be supported, and after unloading with a load of 75Kg per two steps, there shall be no deformation.

4. Configuration

Ganyway ladder frame (one end of the springboard is equipped with a roller, and the other end is fixed to the ship's side by a hook), plug-in railing, nylon rope handrail.

Light duty type(Flat type):

1.Light duty gangway ladder is more used on the small  boat,  weight is relatively light, the length is best not more than 6M, otherwise the strength will not be enough.

2.The length of ladder below 6 meters is made of 100mm high trough aluminum girder, and the length of ladder  above 6 meters is assembled with Angle aluminum.Below is the  sample drawing for your review,you can see the structure and scope of supply.

Heavy duty type(Bridge type)

1.The highest strength, in line with CCS standards (inner width 600MM, outer width 700MM, other ship inspection is generally recommended to use NK can be customized non-standard width, relatively easy to pass the ship inspection), like the arch of the arc - the maximum use Angle of 30 degrees.

2.More clients will choose the heavy duty type, it’s easy to apply IACS certificate and high strength.
