Global warming is causing sea surface temperatures to rise, leading to higher sea levels. Many people live near the coast and rely on the ocean for their livelihoods. Floating architecture, adaptable to fluctuating water levels and varying climatic conditions, is the future of estuaries around the world and a necessary response for those regions most threatened. We've compiled a dozen projects directly on the water, encompassing a variety of uses: residential, cultural, educational, leisure, and infrastructure.
