ICCP & MGPS are integrated electrochemical systems designed to protect a vessel's hull and internal seawater systems from corrosion and marine growth. The ICCP (Impressed Current Cathodic Protection) system uses a controlled electrical current from inert anodes to polarize the hull, making it cathodic and preventing rust. Simultaneously, the MGPS (Marine Growth Preventing System) electrolyzes copper anodes to release ions that deter barnacle and mussel attachment inside seawater pipelines, while aluminum anodes form a protective layer against internal corrosion. Together, they ensure prolonged asset life, reduced dry-docking maintenance, and optimal hydrodynamic performance.
