The World Largest Pile-Driving Vessel Successfully Delivered

The "二航长青" pile-driving vessel is invested by China Communications Second Navigation Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. and built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. It has a total length of 130.5 meters, a width of 40.8 meters, a depth of 8.4 meters, a pile frame height of 150 meters, and can drive pile foundations with a maximum weight of 700 tons and a diameter of 7 meters.

This ship has broken the world records for the world's largest fixed arm pile-driving vessel and the world's largest domestically developed equipment for marine variable amplitude oil cylinders. At the same time, it has broken through the design concept of traditional AC power systems and for the first time adopted a diesel electric hybrid DC network power system solution on a pile-driving vessel. It is another important manifestation of China's strong strength and innovation ability in high-end equipment manufacturing.

711 Institute provided the ship with an integrated supercapacitor system, lithium battery system, generator, DC variable frequency distribution board, AC distribution equipment, marine transformer, power energy management system, heptafluoropropane fire protection system, braking resistor, and operation monitoring system.

The power energy management system independently designed by the institute, combined with supercapacitor and lithium battery systems, enables the pile-driving vessel to reduce the number of grid connected units and play a role in peak shaving and valley filling in frequently changing working conditions; At the same time, due to the application of DC variable frequency distribution boards, the existing transformers, braking units, braking resistors, and other equipment in the ship moving winch, lifting winch, and hammer winch systems can be significantly reduced, reducing the volume and weight of the equipment and thus reducing system energy loss; In addition, the ship is equipped with an operation monitoring system that can be used in conjunction with pile-driving operation systems, monitoring alarm systems, and other systems to monitor and collect real-time data during pile-driving operations.

The world's largest pile-driving ship oil cylinder, developed by China Communications Second Navigation Engineering Group Co., Ltd. in collaboration with six leading domestic enterprises in the industry chain and four universities including Tsinghua University and Tongji University, weighs 385 tons, has a diameter of nearly 2 meters, and a total length of 28 meters. It has successively broken through key core technologies such as domestic sealing rings, domestic bearing lubrication pads, and laser cladding corrosion-resistant materials, achieving the localization of ultra large and ultra long oil cylinders.
