Inspection Of Inflatable Life Jacket

How to inspect an inflatable life jacket?

1. check appearance,belt,air bag for any breakage ;

2. Check reflective strip is in good condition;

3. Check the green locking ,which is used if no green locking on device ;

4. Turn off the cylinder and check if there are holes in the bottom which means have been used .

5. Check the date of cylinder and test the weight with scale,net weight of CO2 is 33g+/-5g,total weight is 144g+/-5g;

6. Check small transparent sealing ring of device,screw off transparent cover,check if the bobbin inside have been used.

 

 

Reassembly device:

1. Put the transparent screen and bobbin in device , screw the transparent cover;

2. Check the bottom of device,green is correct,red is wrong,if it is red,means transparent cover not to be installed well,or there`s extra film inside ;

3. Put the gas cylinder in and cover with the green card buckle;

4. Check whether oral tube is aging,blow the air bag full,hold for 24hrs,gas loss value of 5% is normal;

Release the gas with red cap
