2. Classification of marine steel plates.

Structural steel for hulls can be divided into general ships and special ships according to their uses. General ships mainly use general strength and high strength steel, special ships such as liquefied gas carriers use low-temperature toughness steel, and bulk chemical tankers use austenitic stainless steel and duplex steel. Structural steel for hulls is divided into strength levels according to their minimum yield point: general strength structural steel and high strength structural steel. Structural steel for hulls is divided into two types: general strength steel and high strength steel. General strength steel is divided into four grades A, B, C, and D according to quality; high strength steel is divided into two strength levels (32, 36) and three quality grades. (A, D, E), the main specifications are AH32, DH32, EH32, AH36, DH36, EH36.


The general strength structural steel specified by China Classification Society is divided into four quality grades: A, B, D, and E (i.e., CCSA, CCSB, CCSC, CCSD); the high-strength structural steel specified by China Classification Society is divided into three quality grades: Strength levels (32, 36, 40), 32, 36, and 40 respectively represent yield strength, four quality levels (A, D, E, F), A, D, E, F respectively represent that they can each be at 0° , -20°, -40°, -60° impact toughness that can be achieved.
