Classification and function

There are four kinds of navigation lights: fixed light, light buoy, light ship and lighthouse.

Fixed lights, light buoys and light ships are beacons used for navigation and warning.

The lighthouse emits recognizable signals at sea day and night for ships to determine their position and provide warning to ships of danger. The navigation light uses the battery as the power supply. Small lighthouses already use solar cells, and large lighthouses use diesel generators as the main power source.

Solar integrated beacon light:

Beacon light is an important facility to mark the channel at night and guide the safe navigation of ships. When sailing at night, a ship will be lost if it loses its beacon to guide its course. At present, because the beacon light source is generally used incandescent bulbs or neon bulbs, high energy consumption, short life, random disorder.

Since 2002, the Honghu Channel Department of the Yangtze River Navigation Bureau of Wuhan has carried out technical cooperation with relevant manufacturers, and began to carry out scientific research on solar integrated beacon light in stages. In 2003, we completed the development of light-emitting diode integrated beacon light source, in 2004, we completed the design and supporting research of solar cells and maintenance-free batteries, formed the research results of solar integrated beacon light in May 2005, and developed a new HD100 solar integrated beacon light suitable for the middle reaches of the Yangtze River channel in 2006. So far, including the "solar integrated beacon light", Zheng Qixiang has carried out 23 technological innovations and obtained 5 national patents, becoming a veritable "beacon light king".
