Product Description
4V×48S Class Shaped Strand Wire Rope
Product Introduction:
Engineered for the most demanding maritime environments, our Marine 4VX48S+5FC Class Shaped Strand Wire Rope delivers superior lifting and mooring capabilities. Manufactured strictly to the GB/T8918-2006 national standard, this premium rope is specifically designed to withstand heavy cyclic loads, severe abrasion, and corrosive saltwater conditions, ensuring safe and reliable operations for port and vessel applications.
Advanced Construction (4VX48S+5FC):
The rope's advanced structural design is the key to its exceptional performance:
*4V Shaped Strands: The 4-strand, V-shaped (oval/triangular) compaction provides a larger and smoother metallic surface contact area. This significantly reduces the internal friction between strands and effectively prevents crushing or distortion under extreme lateral pressure.
*48S Wire Configuration (High Fill Factor): The "48S" denotes a highly refined wire arrangement (Seale or filler construction) within each strand. Compared to standard constructions, the higher wire count creates an optimized high metal fill factor, which dramatically increases the minimum breaking load and enhances structural stability.
*5FC Fiber Core (Five-Strand Fiber Core): The central 5FC core acts as a vital lubricant reservoir. It continuously supplies internal lubrication to the steel wires, reduces wire-on-wire wear, absorbs high-impact dynamic shocks, and significantly improves the rope's overall flexibility and fatigue life.

Key Application Advantages:
1.Excellent Torque Balance: The shaped strand compact design naturally counteracts rotational forces, making it highly resistant to spinning and un-lay during single-line hoisting or heavy lifting.
2.Superior Abrasion & Wear Resistance: The compacted outer surface offers a larger bearing area, minimizing wear against sheaves, drums, and fairleads.
3.Extended Service Life: The synergistic effect of the 48S dense wires and the 5FC fiber core drastically reduces internal fatigue cracking, ensuring long-term cost-efficiency.
Ideal Applications:
*Marine deck lifting cable (Ship cranes and derricks).
*Port cargo handling operations.
*Heavy-duty towing lines.
*Reliable ship mooring steel rope systems.
