Product Description
6×24 Class Round Strand Wire Rope
Product Introduction:
Designed to meet the rigorous demands of shipboard deck machinery and port-side operations, our 6×24 Class Round Strand Wire Rope is a premium heavy-duty flexible cable. Constructed in a 6×24+7FC configuration, this wire rope features six strands, each containing 24 individual wires, wrapped around a specialized fiber core. This distinct structural design provides superior pliability, making it an exceptional choice for applications requiring tight bends, frequent rerouting, and smooth spooling on winch drums.
Construction & Core Design:
The 6×24+7FC structure is purpose-built for marine environments:
*High Wire Count Strands: With 24 wires per strand (typically arranged in a Seale or Warrington-Seale pattern), the rope offers a larger metallic cross-sectional area while maintaining incredible flexibility compared to 6×19 class ropes.
*7FC (Fiber Core): The central fiber core consists of 7 fibrous elements. It acts as an effective shock absorber and internal lubricant reservoir. This construction significantly reduces internal friction between strands during bending, preventing fatigue failures and extending service life in dynamic marine applications.

Key Advantages For Maritime Use:
1.Exceptional Bending Fatigue: The high number of wires and soft fiber core allow the rope to withstand countless bends over small sheaves without breaking.
2.Shock Absorption: The 7FC core provides excellent dampening against sudden jerks and heavy impacts during mooring or cargo loading.
3.Ease of Handling: This rope remains soft and pliable even in colder maritime climates, facilitating quick splicing, termination, and installation by deckhands.
4.Galvanized Protection: Available with a heavy zinc coating to provide robust defense against the corrosive effects of seawater and high humidity.
Primary Marine Applications:
Given its outstanding flexibility and reliable strength, this 6×24 Class rope is widely utilized for:
*General cargo handling and ship deck cranes.
*Towing lines and mooring tails.
*Commercial fishing trawling and net hauling.
*Auxiliary hoisting equipment on bulk carriers and container vessels.
*Winch rope applications requiring multi-layer drum spooling.
Maintenance & Standard Compliance:
To ensure longevity, we recommend regular visual inspections for surface wire breaks and maintaining a proper lubrication regimen to protect the internal fiber core from drying out. Our production adheres to the GB/T20118-2017 standard and meets the structural requirements for marine service.
