W61-22 Marine Organosilicone High-Temperature Resistant Paint

Product Description

W61-22 Marine Organosilicone High-Temperature Resistant Paint

Product Introduction:

W61-22 is a high-performance, one-pack organosilicone-based coating specifically formulated to provide exceptional heat resistance for steel substrates operating at elevated temperatures. Engineered to withstand continuous service temperatures ranging from 300°C to 600°C, this advanced coating maintains its protective and aesthetic properties even under extreme thermal stress, making it the ideal choice for high-temperature equipment, petroleum pipelines, ovens, and industrial exhaust systems. Its unique organosilicone resin chemistry offers excellent adhesion to properly prepared steel surfaces, combined with outstanding resistance to thermal cycling, oxidation, and corrosion at elevated temperatures. The coating cures either at ambient temperature or through forced drying at higher temperatures, providing flexible application options to suit various workshop and field conditions. As a single-pack system, W61-22 eliminates the need for on-site mixing, simplifying application and reducing the risk of errors while ensuring consistent performance. With a volume solids content of 40% ± 2%, a gloss finish, and a VOC level of less than 535 g/L, this product delivers reliable high-temperature protection with good application efficiency. Its proven performance in demanding thermal environments makes it the preferred solution for engineers specifying protective coatings for equipment subjected to sustained high temperatures in marine, petrochemical, power generation, and industrial processing facilities.

Surface Preparation:

All surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry, and free from contamination. High-pressure fresh water washing or appropriate fresh water washing should be carried out, and all oil, grease, soluble contaminants, and other foreign matter must be removed in accordance with SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning standard.

Abrasive Blast Cleaning:

Steel surfaces should be abrasive blast cleaned to Sa2.5 (GB/T 8923.1-2011). If oxidation has occurred between blasting and the application of W61-22, the surface should be reblasted to the specified visual standard. Surface defects revealed by the blast cleaning process should be ground, filled, or treated in the appropriate manner.

Mechanical Cleaning (Repair):

Areas to be repaired should be cleaned to St3 (GB/T 8923.2-2008) by mechanical methods. The area immediately surrounding the repair should be abraded to provide a key for subsequent coating application, and overlap areas should be kept to a minimum.

Method Of Application:

*Airless Spray (Recommended): Tip size 0.38–0.53 mm, output pressure ≥17 MPa.

*Air Spray: Tip size 2.0–3.0 mm, output pressure ≥0.4 MPa.

*Brush / Roller: Suitable for small area application only.

Mixing Instructions:

W61-22 is supplied as a single-pack product and does not require mixing prior to application. Stir thoroughly before use to ensure uniform consistency.

Thinner And Cleaner:

Thinning is not generally recommended. In exceptional circumstances, use JX-601 (up to a maximum of 5% by volume). JX-601 is also recommended as the equipment cleaner.

Storage And Shelf Life:

Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, protected from direct sunlight, fire, and heat sources. Containers must remain tightly sealed. At 25℃, the product has a minimum shelf life of 12 months (subject to re-inspection thereafter).

Limitations:

*Apply only in good weather conditions. The surface temperature must be at least 3℃ above the dew point, and ambient relative humidity should be below 85%.

*Drying times and overcoating intervals may vary due to on-site environmental conditions.

*Avoid prolonged inhalation of solvent vapors or paint spray. Prevent skin and eye contact. Ensure adequate ventilation and fire prevention measures during application.
