H45-66 Marine Solvent-Free Drinking Water Tank Coating

Product Description

H45-66 Marine Solvent-Free Drinking Water Tank Coating

Product Introduction:

H45-66 Solvent-Free Drinking Water Tank Coating is a two-pack, solvent-free epoxy coating specifically formulated for the interior protection of drinking water tanks. It holds official approval from the Chinese Ministry of Health for use in contact with potable water, ensuring safety and compliance with stringent hygiene standards.

Key Features:

1.100% Volume Solids: Delivers a solvent-free formulation with extremely low VOC content (<50g/L), minimizing environmental impact and health risks during application.

2.High Build Capability: Achieves high film thicknesses (200–400 μm DFT) in a single coat, ensuring excellent barrier protection against corrosion.

3.Drinking Water Compliance: Certified safe for potable water contact, making it ideal for newbuilding, maintenance, and on-board repair projects.

Film Thickness & Theoretical Coverage:

Parameter Minimum Standard Maximum
Dry Film Thickness (DFT) 200 μm 300 μm 400 μm
Wet Film Thickness (WFT) 200 μm 300 μm 400 μm
Theoretical Coverage 5 m²/L 3.3 m²/L 2.5 m²/L

Application & Curing:

1.Mixing Ratio: 3.4:1 (by volume) / 5:1 (by mass).

2.Application: Recommended for airless spray (tip size 0.38–0.53mm, output pressure ≥17MPa). Brush/roller application is suitable for small areas only. No thinner is recommended.

3.Curing Conditions: Cures effectively at temperatures above 10°C (minimum 5°C). Surface temperature must be at least 3°C above dew point, and relative humidity should be below 85%.

Surface Preparation:

*Newbuilding: Blast cleaning to Sa2.5 (GB/T 8923.1-2011); weld seams to St3.

*Repair/Maintenance: Mechanical cleaning to P St3 or blast cleaning to P Sa2.5 (GB/T 8923.2-2008).

Packaging & Storage:

*Pack Size: Part A (25kg/15.5L in 20L container) + Part B (5kg/4.5L in 6L container).

*Shelf Life: 12 months minimum at 25°C, stored in cool, dry, and ventilated conditions.

Limitations:

*Incomplete curing below 5°C. Not recommended for continuous UV exposure (will chalk). Proper ventilation and fire prevention are required during application.

*Avoiding absorb the solvent steam and paint steam for long time. Skin and eyes must avoid contacting the paint. Pay attention to ventilate and fireproof when applying.
