Product Description
SPM Tower Loading System
Product Introduction:
The SPM (Single Point Mooring) Tower Loading System is a permanently installed offshore structure designed for the safe and efficient mooring of tankers and the transfer of crude oil from subsea pipelines to export tankers. Unlike buoy-based SPM systems, the tower configuration provides enhanced stability in shallow to moderate water depths and harsh environmental conditions. The system allows the moored tanker to weathervane (rotate freely around the tower), always aligning with the prevailing wind, waves, and current to minimize hull stress and offloading downtime.
Tower mooring and loading system keeps hoses away from sea surface, which avoids contact with sea ice. Hoses are connected to the tower. When the oil tanker arrives, they can be immediately put into use. This marine hose solution is specially made to work for specific devices. It is suitable for efficient, reliable operation under extreme environmental conditions.
How It Works:
1.Mooring: The tanker approaches the tower and secures its bow to the mooring head using a hawser (mooring line).
2.Weathervaning: The tanker is free to swing 360° around the tower, always facing into the environment.
3.Hose Connection: Floating hoses are passed from the tower's support arm to the tanker's midship manifold.
4.Cargo Transfer: Crude oil flows from subsea pipeline → riser → swivel stack → floating hoses → tanker.
5.Disconnect: After loading, hoses are retrieved, and the tanker departs.
