Product Introduction
The Marine Input/Output (I/O) Module is a versatile and intelligent interface device essential for modern marine fire alarm and safety systems. It serves a dual function: monitoring status inputs from various conventional detection devices and controlling the activation of auxiliary safety equipment.
On the input side, it receives signals from devices such as manual call points, heat detectors, or sprinkler system waterflow switches. On the output side, upon command from the central fire alarm control panel, it can activate critical equipment like fire damper closures, fan shutdowns, solenoid valves for gas extinguishing systems, or alarm sounders in specific zones. Each module has a unique address, allowing the control panel to precisely identify the source of an alarm and the device to be controlled. Built with a rugged, marine-grade enclosure resistant to corrosion, vibration, and humidity, it ensures reliable operation in harsh onboard environments.
