Product Introduction
The JBS-MB,S Wall-Mounted Zone Fire Alarm Controller is a compact and certified fire alarm control unit engineered specifically for marine applications. Designed to be installed directly on bulkheads, this robust controller provides reliable zone-based fire detection and alarm management, ensuring full compliance with stringent maritime safety regulations for various vessel types.
As a conventional system controller, it monitors and controls up to 8 independent detection zones, each capable of supporting a range of standard marine smoke detectors, heat detectors, and manual call points. Its primary function is to provide immediate, unambiguous identification of the specific zone in alarm, enabling the crew to locate and respond to a fire emergency with speed and precision.
Constructed with a durable, corrosion-resistant metal enclosure (IP22 rated), it is built to endure the harsh shipboard environment, including constant vibration, high humidity, temperature fluctuations, and salt spray exposure. The unit features a clear and intuitive front panel with a bright LED matrix display that shows the real-time status—Normal, Alarm, or Fault—for each individual zone. Dedicated function keys allow for essential operations such as System Reset, Alarm Silence, Lamp Test, and Zone Isolation.
The controller includes integrated audible and visual alarm indicators (buzzer and LEDs) and provides configurable relay outputs for connecting to external general alarm systems, engine shutdown sequences, or other safety interfaces. It is designed for straightforward wiring, easy maintenance, and is backed by certifications from major classification societies, including DNV, ABS, and Bureau Veritas, meeting all relevant requirements of SOLAS Chapter II-2.
