Launching Appliance of Free Fall Lifeboat With DNV Class Approval Certificate

Launching appliance of free fall lifeboat is a special equipment intended for launching and recovering a free fall lifeboat.

The design of the free-fall davit conforms to the requirements of the “1974 SLOAS [MSC.47(66)] and International LSA Code [MSC.48(66)] , and also can be approved by Classification Society.

This launching appliance is capable of pushing the fully laden lifeboat to full outboard position through the hydraulic oil cylinder and then the lifeboat lowers to water surface depended on its own gravity.

The lifeboat may freely fall into water by opening the release mechanism from a position within the lifeboat.The inspections and tests of the free-fall launching davit appliance with the IMO Resolutions MSC81(70).
