Product Introduction:

The GTH Series Industrial Pneumatic Hoist is a high-performance lifting solution engineered for demanding industrial environments. Powered by compressed air, it delivers reliable and safe material handling without generating electrical sparks, making it an ideal choice for explosive or hazardous areas such as chemical plants, oil refineries, paint shops, and mining sites .


Working Principle of Pneumatic Hoist: 

A pneumatic hoist uses compressed air as its power source to drive a pneumatic motor. The rotation is transmitted through a gearbox which increases torque, and then drives a sprocket to rotate the lifting chain, thereby completing the lifting operation. The hoist is mainly composed of a pneumatic motor, a planetary gear reducer, manual control valves, a main control valve, a suspension assembly, a braking mechanism, and a load chain. The pneumatic hoist can be combined with explosion-proof manual trolleys or pneumatic trolleys to form a mobile pneumatic lifting system. The lifting mechanism controls the main control valve to achieve lifting and lowering of loads, and the brake is engaged or disengaged to provide positioning and stopping during operation. The chain-type pneumatic hoist ensures safe lifting operations. The lifting mechanism can be used as a fixed unit, or installed underneath a traveling mechanism for mobile applications.

Pneumatic Hoist Structural Description: 

A pneumatic hoist uses compressed air as its power source to drive a pneumatic motor into rotation. After passing through a transmission (reduction) gearbox that increases torque, the hoist completes the lifting operation. It is mainly composed of the following components: ① Pneumatic Motor, ② Manual Control Valve, ③ Main Control Valve, ④ Reducer (Gearbox), ⑤ Suspension Assembly, ⑥ Brake Mechanism, and ⑦ Limit Mechanism.


① Pneumatic Motor

Mainly consisting of a rotor, stator, front and rear end covers, blades, and bearings. When the air distribution plate of the main control valve directs compressed air into the motor, the blades rotate at high speed together with the rotor, generating torque.


② Manual Control Valve

Mainly consisting of a handle, valve body, and push buttons. Operating the push buttons opens the air ports to control the connection between the main control valve's air passages and the main air supply. This motor is a blade-type pneumatic motor with a built-in brake.


③ Main Control Valve

Mainly consisting of left and right valve stems, connecting rods, and an air distribution plate. Air distribution for forward and reverse rotation of the pneumatic motor is achieved through switching between the left and right air passages.


④ Reducer (Gearbox)

Mainly consisting of a housing and a set of planetary gear reduction mechanisms. After the high-speed input shaft from the pneumatic motor drives into the reduction mechanism, the speed is reduced and torque is increased, with the final stage outputting power to the lifting sprocket.


⑤ Suspension Assembly

Mainly consisting of an upper hook, suspension body, sprocket, load chain, lower hook, and other parts. The lifting and lowering motions are accomplished through the forward and reverse rotation of the sprocket.


⑥ Brake Mechanism

Mainly consisting of a brake cone, brake ring, and cylinder body. Compressed air is directed from the main control valve into the cylinder to separate the brake cone and brake ring, thereby releasing the brake.


⑦ Limit Mechanism

Mainly consisting of a rotating shaft, swing frame, and return spring. When the hoist reaches the upper or lower travel limit, this mechanism provides impact protection to prevent over-travel.


Application Scope of Pneumatic Hoist: 

Owing to its excellent explosion-proof performance, the pneumatic hoist is widely used in industrialized countries across a broad range of applications, including chemical plants, textile mills, paint/spray shops, logistics operations, and port facilities — particularly in environments with flammable, explosive, high-temperature, high-dust, or highly corrosive conditions. Thanks to its high-frequency operation capability and infinitely variable speed control, it is also highly favored by industries with high production volumes and continuous workflow requirements, such as automotive manufacturing, tractor production, electric motor assembly, refrigerator manufacturing, and logistics.
