Product Introduction

The Transverse Sheave Block Set (also known as the Side Winch Sheave Assembly) is a fundamental component of a Cutter Suction Dredger's positioning system. This pulley system guides the steel wire ropes from the side winches, enabling the precise lateral (side-to-side) swinging motion of the dredging ladder. Engineered to endure continuous dynamic loading, severe abrasion from sand-laden water, and harsh marine environments, this sheave block set ensures accurate dredging performance and long-term operational reliability.

Transverse sheave system is installed on the left and right sides of the cutter ladder.

During the working of cutter suction dredger, the traverse winch pulls the traverse anchor through the steel wire rope, and the rope passes through the transverse sheave. When the CSD is working to the left, the left transverse sheave bears the transverse tension. When the CSD is working to the right, the right transverse sheave bears the transverse tension.Can produce transverse sheave systems of various specifications and sizes.
