Product Description
H06-54 Marine Integrated Primer And Finish Anticorrosive Coating
Product Introduction:
H06-54 is a two-pack, high-build epoxy coating cured with a polyamide adduct, specifically formulated to function as both a primer and a finish coat in a single integrated system. This versatile coating delivers exceptional anticorrosive performance combined with very good mechanical properties, including excellent adhesion even on substrates with low surface roughness. It features a short drying time and can be applied at low temperatures, making it suitable for year-round construction schedules. With a low VOC content of less than 250 g/L, it meets modern environmental requirements. The glossy finish provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance while offering robust protection against corrosion in demanding marine environments. Its high solids content allows for thick film builds in a single coat, reducing application time and labor costs. This product is particularly well-suited for ship interior compartments where efficient, durable, and visually acceptable corrosion protection is required.
This two-pack product is supplied with a mix ratio of 3.4:1 by volume (6:1 by mass). It dries to a glossy finish with a high volume solids content of 75% ± 2%. For application, airless spray is recommended using a tip size of 0.45–0.68 mm and an output pressure of ≥17 MPa. Air spray is not recommended. Brush or roller application is acceptable only for small-area touch-ups. Thinning is not recommended for routine use—if absolutely necessary, 725-HX-501 may be added at a maximum of 5% by volume; the same product is used as the equipment cleaner. No induction period is required. For storage, keep the product in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, protected from sunlight, heat, and open flames, with containers tightly sealed. Shelf life is 12 months minimum at 25°C (subject to re-inspection thereafter). Packaging: Part A is supplied as 25.2 kg / 15.5 L in a 20 L container; Part B is 4.2 kg / 4.5 L in a 6 L container. Flash point: >31°C for Part A, >29°C for Part B, and >31°C for the mixed paint.
Intended Uses:
*For ship interior compartments and similar enclosed marine spaces.
*Provides excellent anticorrosive protection with good mechanical strength.
*Suitable for low-temperature application and short-drying schedules.

Surface Preparation:
All surfaces must be cleaned with high-pressure fresh water or fresh water wash, followed by solvent cleaning per SSPC-SP1 to remove all oil, grease, soluble contaminants, and other foreign matter. The surface to be coated must be clean, dry, and free from contamination. For abrasive blast cleaning, surfaces should be prepared to Sa2½ (GB/T 8923.1-2011). If oxidation occurs between blasting and application of H06-54, the surface must be re-blasted to the specified visual standard. Any surface defects revealed during blasting should be ground, filled, or treated appropriately. For repair areas, mechanical cleaning to PSt3 (GB/T 8923.2-2008) is required, with surrounding areas abraded to provide a key for subsequent coating application; overlap areas should be kept to a minimum.
Application Limitations:
1.Do not apply when ambient relative humidity exceeds 85%.
2.The substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point at all times during application.
3.Like all epoxy-based coatings, H06-54 will exhibit chalking (surface powdering) upon prolonged UV exposure.
4.Drying times and overcoating intervals may vary according to actual site conditions.
5.Avoid prolonged inhalation of solvent vapors and paint mist. Prevent skin and eye contact. Ensure adequate ventilation and take fire-prevention measures during application.
