Product Description

80 Persons Shipboard Sewage Treatment Equipment

Product Introduction:

The DY-80 is a compact, fully automatic marine wastewater treatment plant designed for the treatment of sewage and grey water generated aboard ocean-going vessels, offshore platforms, and coastal ships. With a daily treatment capacity of 5,600 liters, equivalent to 5.6 cubic meters per day, this system is ideally suited for crews of approximately sixty to eighty persons, making it a perfect solution for large cargo vessels, passenger ferries, cruise ships, and offshore accommodation platforms.

The system integrates proven biological contact oxidation technology with advanced membrane bioreactor filtration and ultraviolet disinfection, delivering consistent high-quality effluent that meets the most stringent international marine discharge standards. The DY-80 is built for reliability, low maintenance, and ease of operation in the demanding marine environment.

Treatment Process:

The DY-80 employs a three-stage treatment process. Incoming wastewater first enters the contact oxidation chamber, where aerobic microorganisms digest and break down organic pollutants. The partially treated liquor then flows into the membrane bioreactor chamber, where ultrafiltration membranes perform solid-liquid separation, effectively retaining suspended solids and bacteria while allowing purified water to pass through. Finally, an ultraviolet disinfection unit inactivates any remaining pathogenic microorganisms without chemical dosing, ensuring safe and environmentally friendly discharge.

Effluent Quality and Compliance:

The DY-80 is designed and type-approved to comply fully with IMO Resolution MEPC.227(64) and MARPOL 73/78 Annex IV. Treated effluent consistently achieves total suspended solids at or below 35 milligrams per liter, biochemical oxygen demand at or below 25 milligrams per liter, and chemical oxygen demand at or below 125 milligrams per liter. Coliform count is limited to no more than 100 per 100 milliliters, with pH maintained between 6.0 and 8.5, and residual chlorine kept below 0.5 milligrams per liter.
