Product Description
2100L/d Marine Black Water Treatment Plant
Product Introduction:
The 2100L/d Marine Black Water Treatment Plant is a compact, fully automatic wastewater treatment system designed specifically for ocean-going vessels, offshore platforms, and coastal ships. With a daily processing capacity of 2,100 litres, this plant efficiently treats black water (toilet waste) and grey water (galley, shower, and laundry discharge) to meet the strictest international marine pollution regulations.
Certified to IMO MEPC.227(64) and USCG standards, the system ensures that treated effluent contains less than 50 mg/L Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD₅) and 150 mg/L Total Suspended Solids (TSS) , with fecal coliform counts below 100 MPN/100ml – fully compliant for discharge at sea.
Key Features:
1. Advanced Biological Treatment Process
The plant utilizes an extended aeration activated sludge method combined with a submerged membrane bioreactor (MBR) or traditional contact oxidation technology. Aerobic bacteria break down organic pollutants into harmless water, carbon dioxide, and inorganic salts, delivering stable and consistent effluent quality even under varying load conditions.
2. High-Efficiency Disinfection System
An integrated chlorination or UV disinfection unit eliminates pathogenic microorganisms in the final effluent stage, ensuring the discharge water is biologically safe and odor-free.
3. Fully Automatic PLC Control
Equipped with a programmable logic controller (PLC) and human-machine interface (HMI) touch screen, the system offers:
*One‑touch start/stop operation.
*Real‑time monitoring of pH, dissolved oxygen, and temperature.
*Automatic alarm and fault diagnosis.
*Remote communication capability for unmanned engine room integration.
4. Compact & Space-Saving Design
With a footprint of approximately 1.8m × 1.2m × 1.6m, the unit is engineered for easy installation in confined engine room or pump room spaces. The integrated tank construction eliminates the need for separate settling tanks, saving valuable onboard space.
5. Robust & Corrosion-Resistant Construction
All wetted parts are fabricated from marine-grade stainless steel (SS316L) or high‑density polyethylene (HDPE), with anti‑corrosion coatings applied to external surfaces. This ensures long service life in harsh saline and humid marine environments.
6. Low Maintenance & Operating Costs
The system features:
*Low energy consumption (≤ 2.5 kW) with energy‑saving blowers and pumps.
*Extended sludge return interval (up to 6‑12 months).
*Easy‑access inspection ports and quick‑release components for routine cleaning and part replacement.
