Product Description
1400L/d Marine Sewage Treatment Plant
Product Introduction:
The DY-20 Marine Sewage Treatment Plant is a high-performance, fully automatic onboard wastewater treatment system specifically engineered to handle domestic sewage from toilets, galleys, and bathrooms on vessels carrying crews of up to 20 persons. As the largest-capacity model in the DY Series, this unit delivers the same proven multi-stage treatment technology with increased throughput, making it the ideal choice for larger workboats, offshore supply vessels, small ferries, and coastal patrol craft.
Advanced Multi-Stage Treatment Process:
The DY-20 integrates three complementary treatment technologies in a single, compact module:
1.Oxidative Degradation: Sewage first enters the aeration chamber, where continuous oxygen supply from a heavy-duty blower cultivates aerobic bacteria that aggressively break down organic matter into stable compounds.
2.Membrane Microfiltration: The biologically treated liquor then passes through high-flux microporous membrane modules, which physically remove suspended solids, bacteria, and fine particulates, producing crystal-clear permeate with exceptional clarity.
3.Physical Disinfection & Sterilization: The clarified effluent undergoes final disinfection using physical methods (chlorine dosing or UV irradiation), eliminating residual pathogens to ensure microbiologically safe discharge.

Key Advantages Over Conventional Systems:
The DY-20 offers significant operational and economic benefits:
1.High Capacity, Small Footprint: Processes wastewater for 20 persons while occupying minimal deck space.
2.Lightweight Construction: Reduced deadweight penalty compared to traditional biological plants, improving vessel fuel efficiency.
3.Robust & Reliable: Built with marine-grade corrosion-resistant materials, ensuring dependable operation under severe sea conditions including vessel inclination of up to 22.5° in any direction, ambient temperatures from 0°C to 55°C, and high humidity environments.
4.Low Maintenance Operation: User-friendly control panel with alarm indicators; membrane modules are designed for long service intervals and simple on-board cleaning without specialized tools.
5.Environmentally Safe: Produces no secondary pollution – no harmful chemical residuals or toxic by-products.
Regulatory Compliance & Type Approvals:
The DY-20 meets and exceeds all applicable international and national discharge standards:
1.IMO MEPC.227(64) – "2012 Guidelines on Implementation of Effluent Standards and Performance Tests for Sewage Treatment Plants"
2.MARPOL 73/78 Annex IV – International regulations for prevention of sewage pollution from ships
3.GB3552-2018 – "Discharge Standard for Water Pollutants from Ships" (Clauses 5.2.2 and 5.2.4)
The DY Series has obtained type approval certifications from CCS, BV, EC, RS, RINA, ABS. ensuring full acceptance by port state control authorities worldwide.
Typical Applications:
*Larger fishing vessels and factory trawlers.
*Small passenger ferries and Ro-Ro ships.
*Offshore support vessels (AHTS, PSV) with larger crews.
*Coast guard and naval patrol craft.
*Workboats and dredgers with accommodation for up to 20 persons.
