Product Description
3-Strand PET And PP Mixed Rope
Product Introduction:
Our 3‑strand twisted PET (polyester) and PP (polypropylene) mixed rope is a versatile, high‑performance mooring and towing line developed for modern marine and industrial operations. By combining the best attributes of both fibres - polyester’s superior strength and abrasion resistance with polypropylene’s light weight and buoyancy - this hybrid rope delivers an exceptional balance of durability, handling ease, and cost‑effectiveness.
Outstanding Performance & Technical Advantages:
1.High tensile strength with controlled, low elongation - as illustrated in our stress‑elongation comparison chart, the PET/PP mix outperforms pure PP multifilament and nylon (PA6) in modulus retention, offering a lower stretch profile than standard PP while retaining excellent shock absorption. This reduces energy loss during mooring and towing.
2.Excellent abrasion and wear resistance - ensures a long service life even under heavy friction against fairleads, bitts, and rough deck edges.
3.Soft, smooth surface - makes the rope easy to handle, splice, knot, and coil, significantly reducing crew fatigue.
4.Spliced strength loss ≤10% (verified in accordance with ISO 2307), guaranteeing reliable and safe terminations.
5.Weight and length tolerance: ±5%, ensuring consistent quality, simple inventory management, and predictable performance.
6.For hazardous environments (e.g., oil tankers, chemical carriers, or explosive‑risk zones), we can produce anti‑static versions upon request to safely dissipate static charges.
