Currently, a customer ask about this question, Deyuan Marine official response quickly. For more people who may concern about it, here issued the knowledge.

The SOLAS has requirement and issued the latest regulations recently:

We could use pilot ladder separately if the height was from 1.5m to 9m; When it is greater than 9m, we also need to use with the accommodation ladder, and it is necessary to consider the heel of 15°.

Within the maximum range of its using angle range, the gangway ladder should be ensured that the distance between the lower platform and any waterline is not less than 600mm (considering the heel of 15°), so more than 2 accommodation ladder angles may be required, and consider to fix the lower platform to the hull. A ladder mark is required show at 9m on the upper deck,  to indicate use pilot ladder when <9m,  and to use with accommodation ladder together when >9m.
