Product Introduction:

Our Marine Oily Bilgewater Separator is a high-performance treatment system engineered to remove free and emulsified oils from vessel bilgewater, ensuring discharged effluent consistently meets the strictest international environmental regulations. Designed for a wide range of vessels—from ocean-going cargo ships and tankers to offshore platforms and naval crafts—this unit provides a compact, low-maintenance answer to onboard oily water management.


Core Technology & Working Principle:

The system operates on a multi-stage separation process that combines gravity settling, enhanced coalescence, and advanced filtration media. Oily bilgewater first enters the primary separation chamber, where large oil droplets rise to the surface due to density differences and are automatically skimmed off. The remaining finer oil-in-water emulsion then passes through a patented coalescing pack, which forces microscopic oil droplets to merge into larger, buoyant particles for rapid separation. Finally, a polishing filtration stage ensures the residual oil content is reduced to below 15 parts per million (ppm)—the mandatory discharge limit set by MARPOL Annex I.

Remarks:
When selecting a bilge water separator, choosing a unit with a capacity exceeding the statutory minimum is strongly advisable.
1. 0.00044G m³/h (G: vessel gross tonnage) — for vessels below 1,000 GT.
2. 0.4 + 0.00004G m³/h — for vessels between 1,000 and 40,000 GT.
3. For vessels between 40,000 and 50,000 GT, select 3.0 m³/h.
4. For vessels above 50,000 GT, select 5.0 m³/h.
