Marine Membrane Bioreactor Sewage Treatment Plant

Product Description

Marine Membrane Bioreactor Sewage Treatment Plant

Product Introduction:

The Marine Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) Sewage Treatment Plant is a compact, high-performance wastewater treatment solution purpose-built for marine environments, including cargo vessels, passenger ships, offshore platforms, and naval crafts. Integrating biological degradation with advanced membrane filtration technology, this system delivers superior effluent quality that consistently meets or exceeds the most stringent international discharge regulations.

Designed for reliability in harsh maritime conditions, the unit operates efficiently across a wide temperature range (0–55°C) and high humidity environments (≤90%), ensuring uninterrupted service during long voyages.

Compliance & Certification:

The system is fully compliant with IMO Resolution MEPC.227 (64) – "Revised Guidelines on Implementation of Effluent Standards and Performance Tests for Sewage Treatment Plants". It holds type-approval certificates from CCS, with additional classification society approvals (e.g., KR, RS, BV, EC) available upon request. Each delivered unit is accompanied by a valid classification society product certificate.

Effluent Quality (IMO MEPC.227(64) Standards):

The treated effluent meets the following discharge limits:

*Total Suspended Solids (TSS) – ≤ 35 mg/L.

*Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD₅) – ≤ 25 mg/L.

*Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) – ≤ 125 mg/L.

*Thermotolerant Coliform – ≤ 100 MPN / 100 mL.

*pH Range – 6.0 – 8.5.

*Residual Chlorine – ≤ 0.5 mg/L.

System Composition & Structural Design:

The plant is engineered as an integrated frame structure, with all components mounted on a common steel base for straightforward installation and secure bolted connection to the ship's foundation. Key components include:

*Main tank – partitioned into Contact Oxidation Tank 1, Contact Oxidation Tank 2, and an MBR membrane tank.

*Air blower – for aerobic biological treatment.

*Crushing pump – for homogenizing influent solids.

*Plunger pump – for sludge recirculation and transfer.

*Ultraviolet (UV) sterilizer – for chemical-free terminal disinfection.

*Built-in MBR membrane modules – for precise solid-liquid separation.

*Electric control box – with programmable logic control for automated operation.

*Valves and interconnecting piping.

Key Features & Advantages:

1.Exceptional effluent clarity – MBR membrane barrier eliminates suspended solids and pathogens far more effectively than conventional activated sludge processes.

2.Compact footprint – space-saving design critical for confined engine-room and deck areas.

3.Chemical-free disinfection – UV sterilization avoids the handling and storage of hazardous chemicals.

4.Operational flexibility – switchable between automatic and manual control modes.

5.Low maintenance – modular membrane cartridges enable easy cleaning and replacement.

6.Corrosion-resistant construction – durable materials withstand saltwater exposure and tropical-to-arctic temperature extremes.

7.Global regulatory acceptance – CCS, BV, RINA, RS, KR, EC certification ensures seamless port-state inspections worldwide.

Typical Applications:

*Merchant vessels (container ships, bulk carriers, tankers).

*Passenger ferries and cruise liners.

*Offshore drilling rigs and production platforms.

*Naval ships and coast guard cutters.

*Remote island resorts and coastal facilities.
