Aramid Fiber Rope

Product Description

Aramid Fiber Rope

Product Introduction:

Aramid fiber rope, also known as Kevlar rope, is a high-performance braided rope specially engineered for harsh marine working environments. It features extremely high tensile strength, low stretch, excellent heat resistance and outstanding resistance to abrasion, making it a premium choice for heavy-duty marine operations.

Compared with traditional polyester and nylon ropes, aramid fiber rope delivers superior breaking load while maintaining a lighter weight. It has nearly zero elongation under load, which ensures stable tension control during mooring, towing and lifting tasks at sea. The rope is resistant to saltwater corrosion, UV degradation and most chemical solvents, so it will not easily degrade when exposed to long-term seawater immersion and strong sunlight.

Our marine aramid rope adopts multi-strand braided construction, with optional protective outer sleeve to further improve wear resistance and extend service life. It can be customized in diameter, length and end fittings to meet diverse marine requirements, including ship mooring lines, vessel towing ropes, offshore platform rigging, anchor lines and heavy lifting slings.

With reliable mechanical performance and long service lifespan, this aramid fiber rope is widely trusted by shipyards, shipping companies and offshore engineering projects for critical marine safety applications.

Key Features & Benefits:

1.Superior Strength & Low Stretch: 5% elongation at breaking load ensures stable and secure mooring.

2.Extreme Temperature Resistance: Operates effectively from -150°C to 200°C, with a melting point of 450°C.

3.Excellent Durability: Very good abrasion resistance, UV resistance, and chemical resistance for long service life in harsh marine conditions.

4.Non-Floating Design: Specific density of 1.44 ensures the rope sinks, ideal for deep-water and subsea applications.

5.Flexible Construction: Available in 8-strand or 12-strand braided constructions for easy handling and splicing.

6.High Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Provides massive breaking strength (up to 6050 kN) with relatively low weight.

Typical Applications:

*Heavy-duty ship mooring and towing.

*Offshore oil and gas platform mooring.

*Deep-water anchoring systems.

*Emergency and salvage operations.

*Defense and naval vessel securing.

*Heavy lifting and rigging in marine environments.

Important Note: This rope is for mooring and industrial use only. Not for overhead lifting. Splicing is highly recommended instead of knotting to maintain maximum strength.

Colour & Customisation:

*Standard colour: yellow (high visibility and universally accepted in the maritime industry)

*Custom colours (e.g., blue, red, orange,, green, or striped patterns) are available on request for easy identification

Certifications:

Our ropes are manufactured under strict quality control systems and can be supplied with classification society approval certificates from leading international bodies such as DNV, ABS, LR, BV, and CCS upon request. These certifications ensure full compliance with international maritime regulations, port state controls, and insurance underwriter requirements, giving you complete operational peace of mind.
