Marine hatch covers are the covers closed on board of various hatchs and their opening and closing devices, the main role of the hatch covers is to ensure that waves and rain will not invade the cargo hold, and some hatch covers will also bear the weight of the goods on the deck.

According to the hatch covers size is divided into large size hatch covers and small size hatch covers. The former is used to load bulk cargo, goods or vehicles, etc., it is also known as cargo hatch covers; the latter for loading liquid cargo, refrigerated cargo and other cargo spaces and this samll size hatch covers also for personnel access to the hatchs and manholes. Small size hatch covers are generally opened and closed by manpower, while large hatch covers usually be powered by electric or hydraulic driven device for opening and closing. 

According to the different tight requirements, usually have watertight hatch covers, oil tight hatch covers, airtight hatch covers and non-tight hatch covers. With different tightness requirements in the hatch covers and their adjacent parts are equipped with by depression bars, packing, washers, compactors, etc. consisting of the sealing device. 

We usually provide standard hatch covers but also customized non-standard type as per customer required, the standard types mainly divide into below 6 types:

1.Both side opened/closed hatch covers(dog clip/butterfly bolt).

2.Single side opened/closed hatch covers(dog clip/butterfly bolt).

3.Quick acting hatch covers(central hand wheel).

4.Circular/long circular/oval type oil tank hatch covers.

5.Sunk type oval/square type hatch covers(collapsible dog clip).

6.Circular/long circular flat type hatch covers(butterfly bolt/central lankage clip).

Watertight hatch covers and wearthtight hatch covers can be provide for all above types. Material such as steel, aluminium and stainles steel are all available, clear size of ship hatch cover from 420*600mm up to 1300*1300mm, cover thickness from 4-8mm, coaming thicknes from 4-11mm, coaming height from 0-800mm. Further more, we always provide thick hinge plate and thick securing plates which connected to the butterfly bolt and makes end side of securing plates a little upper to prevent from butterfly bolts slipping when tighten botls. Sealing rubber packing size normally supply 40*20mm, but we can customized other packing size such as 35*15mm to meet customer vessel existing packing size. Marine certificate such as NK, CCS, BV, ABS, DNV etc can be provide to all of our marine hatch covers.
