The Marine Fog-signal Airhorn Type WD-2A is a high-performance electric fog signal horn engineered for medium and large vessels ranging from 75 to 200 meters in length . Designed to meet international maritime collision regulations (COLREGs), this electric horn delivers a powerful and penetrating sound to ensure your vessel is heard clearly in low-visibility conditions such as dense fog or heavy rain.
Unlike traditional air horns that require bulky compressed air tanks and complex piping systems, the WD-2A features an integrated direct-drive motor system. The motor drives a piston to compress and push air directly, generating the audible signal. This innovative design simplifies installation significantly—it only needs to be connected to the vessel's power supply to operate .
Constructed with durability in mind, the WD-2A is built from high-quality materials suitable for harsh marine environments. It is available with CCS (China Classification Society) certification and other classification society approvals, ensuring compliance with international maritime safety standards .
