B-15 Marine Type A Rock Wool Wall Panel
Product Description
B-15 Marine Type A Rock Wool Wall Panel
Product Introduction:
The B-15 Marine Type A Rock Wool Wall Panel is a certified fire-resistant wall cladding solution specifically engineered for demanding marine and offshore environments, including cargo ships, passenger vessels, yachts, and oil rigs. Designed to comply with the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and relevant IMO resolutions, this panel provides reliable passive fire protection while maintaining structural integrity under extreme conditions.
Fire Performance – B-15 Rating:
The B-15 fire protection level means that during the first 15 minutes of a standard fire test, the panel prevents significant flame spread and limits the temperature rise on the unexposed side to an average of no more than 140°C above the initial temperature. This critical time window allows for safe crew evacuation and firefighting operations. The panel is classified as non-combustible and produces low smoke and toxic fumes, meeting A-class material requirements.
Core Material – High-Density Rock Wool:
The core consists of high-density rock wool, a naturally non-combustible mineral fiber with exceptional thermal insulation, acoustic absorption, and fire resistance properties. Unlike organic foams, rock wool does not melt or drip when exposed to high temperatures. It also resists moisture, mold, and vibration fatigue, making it ideal for long-term marine service.
